05-Nov-2001Looking to overhaul Vidarbha’s total of 295 and establish a
comfortable lead, Madhya Pradesh instead found themselves bowled out
for 192 on Day Two of the Central Zone Ranji tie at Nagpur. The visitors found themselves in dire straits at 53/5, with
Chandrasekhar Atram dismissing three of the five batmen. A partnership
of sorts then developed between Nikhil Patwardhan and Sulakshan
Kulkarni. After making 33 and 35 respectively, however, they departed,
leaving the innings in a shambles. Madhya Pradesh never recovered from
their disastrous start and were bowled out, giving Vidarbha a lead of
more than 100 runs.Vidarbha, to their credit, looked to take full advantage of their fine
bowling performance. At the close of play, the home team had scored
