Leeds United have recently been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster.
Understandably, the Reds want Brewster to get first-team action if they are to loan out the 19-year-old, but unfortunately, Leeds’ usage of another Premier League loanee may scupper their chances.
Of course, we’re talking about Eddie Nketiah.

The striker hasn’t started a league game yet this season, so if Victor Orta heads to Liverpool to make another of his famous ‘Dragon’s Den style’ presentations on why Leeds are the right place for Brewster it’s going to be very hard for him to convince Liverpool of that.
The Whites have started Patrick Bamford ahead of Nketiah in every single league game so far this season, and that would be fine if the Arsenal loanee wasn’t showing any promise, but he’s scored every 88.3 minutes in the league this season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s system takes a lot of getting used to, and if Brewster came in he wouldn’t immediately displace Bamford as it’s clear to see that it takes a lot for the Argentine to reconsider the 26-year-old’s place in the starting XI.
With multiple teams tracking Brewster surely Liverpool will want to send him out to a side that may actually give him the experience they want him to gain rather than shipping him out to a club that have already shown that they’re not great at handling young striker loanees.
Leeds may live to regret their usage of Nketiah if it means they miss out on Brewster.
In other news, Leeds fans are worried about one Championship team creeping up on them…
