Neither player featured in the first-team and that means it has been a waste of time and resources bringing them to the club, and Orta has rightly faced criticism from fans for his role in controlling who comes in and out of the club.
It is time the director of football began focusing all of his efforts on adding players who can improve the squad as soon as they come in, particularly now in what is a vitally important month in determining whether the Whites can win promotion.
Leeds would benefit greatly from a successful foreign young player coming in, but their track record is disappointing and so far under Marcelo Bielsa it is clear that Leeds’ own talent is fairing better.
