The same season that Leicester City stunned the world of football by winning the Premier League, West Ham United departed Upton Park for the Olympic Stadium.
The Hammers and their fans were surely not demanding that their side smash the glass ceiling as emphatically as The Foxes did in 2015/16, but the promise of better days ahead was the only thing that made leaving their old stomping ground feel palatable.
Fast forward two seasons and it hasn’t quite worked out that way. Provided they remain in the Premier League this season, West Ham will not be looking at a brave new era in a pristine ground that attracts elite talent.
Rather, they face the prospect of David Moyes looking to build a mid-table side in their third season at the London Stadium. Still, one man who would provide the team with energy is Leicester’s Marc Albrighton.
That’s why we’re asking you; even though West Ham have not enjoyed Leicester’s rise, would it be a good move to snare the uncapped Englishman, who is valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt?
Let us know by voting in the poll below and keep your eyes peeled for the result…
