According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough have asked Wolverhampton Wanderers whether they can re-sign Adama Traore on loan in the January window.
What’s the story?
Traore left Boro for Wolves during the summer transfer window, with last season’s Championship winners paying the best part of £18m to secure the attacker’s services.
Traore has made 14 Premier League appearances for Wolves this season, but has only managed one goal, and has thus far struggled to make his mark.
According to TEAMtalk, Boro have approached Wolves to ascertain whether it would be possible to re-sign the former Barcelona youngster on loan in January.

The 5ft 10in ace joined Boro from Aston Villa in 2016, and scored five times in 71 appearances for the club before moving to Wolves ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
Is the deal possible?
It is difficult to imagine a set of circumstances where Traore could end up back at the Riverside, but the Boro fans directly asked the attacker to return last month.
There is every chance that the 22-year-old will go on to become a key player for Wolves in the future, but a loan back to the Championship might not be the worst idea in the world.
From Boro’s point of view, it would be a stunning capture.
Tony Pulis’ side have only scored 23 Championship goals this season, and there is no question that the arrival of Traore, who has 51 Premier League appearances to his name, would make them more of a threat.
Boro have dropped down to sixth in the second tier following a poor run, but signing Traore in January would have to make them favourites to secure at least a top-six spot.
