[ad_pod ]Eric Dier mirrored the reaction of every Tottenham Hotspur fan on Tuesday night!Mauricio Pochettino made a surprise decision during the encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion, as he sent striker Vincent Janssen on as a substitute in a bid to win the game. Before Tuesday’s encounter, Janssen had last played for the club in 2017, in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea. Even then, he played a single minute.Indeed, he has endured a difficult time in north London, scoring just six goals during his spell at the club. And his substitution sent shockwaves across social media, with midfielder Eric Dier similarly excited.Take a look at the video below, as Dier appears to fidget in excitement with Janssen receiving instructions from Pochettino.
Janssen had an impact on the game after replacing Brazilian forward Lucas Moura.
Following his substitution, he linked up with Fernando Llorente in a two-man attack as Spurs looked to break Brighton down.
Of course, Christian Eriksen did just that, firing a brilliant winner into the bottom corner from range with just two minutes of the game remaining.
Spurs are next in action this weekend, when they take on London rivals West Ham United.
It remains to be seen if Janssen will be involved yet again.
