Wrexham beat Rotherham United 1-0 to keep their League One promotion hopes alive on Saturday and Mullin's beloved Liverpool beat Southampton 3-1 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League. And although the striker was left out of the Red Dragons' squad again, the 30-year-old was remaining positive.

Mullin has not played for Wrexham in League One since the end of January, with winter transfer window arrivals Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez now ahead of him in the pecking order. At this rate, the Wrexham legend may not be at the club for much longer.

Mullin will hope to get some game time as soon as possible, starting with their trip to Reading on Tuesday. Wrexham are sitting third in the League One table after 35 games, only behind second-placed Wycombe on goal difference as the race for automatic promotion heats up.
